An international team of experts is conducting epidemiological studies in China

Who Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a delegation briefing on COVID-19 on February 19 that a WHO-led international team of experts is currently on the ground in China, working with their Chinese counterparts to find answers, including the severity of the disease, the transmissibility of the virus and the impact of the measures China has taken.

The WHO-led joint expert group brings together leading experts from China and around the world. Experts are committed to pooling their scientific knowledge to better understand the outbreak and save lives.
