1、 Common faults and maintenance methods of wheelchair
Fault 1: Tire perforation
1. Inflate the tires.
2. Feel firm when pinching off the tire. If it feels soft and can be pressed in, it may be a leak or a hole in the inner tube.
Note: refer to the recommended tire pressure on the tire surface when inflating.
Fault 2: corrosion
Visually check whether there are brown corrosion spots on the surface of the wheelchair, especially the wheel, hand wheel, wheel width and small wheel. Possible causes:
1. Wheelchairs are placed in damp places.
2. The wheelchair is not regularly maintained and cleaned.
Fault 3: unable to walk in a straight line
When the wheelchair slides freely, it doesn't slide in a straight line. Possible causes:
1. The wheels are loose and the tires are worn seriously.
2. The wheel is out of shape.
3. The tire is perforated or leaking.
4. The wheel bearing is damaged or rusted.
Fault 4: loose wheel
1. Check whether the bolts and nuts of the rear wheel are tightened.
2. Whether the wheel moves in a straight line or swings left and right when it rotates.
Fault 5: wheel deformation
It will be difficult to repair. If necessary, please ask for wheelchair service.
Fault 6: loose parts
Check the following parts for tightening and proper operation.
1. Cross bracket.
2. Seat / back cushion cover.
3. Side baffles or handrails.
4. Step on.
Fault 7: improper brake adjustment
1. Park the wheelchair with the brake.
2. Try to push wheelchair on flat ground.
3. Pay attention to whether the rear wheel moves. When the brakes are working properly, the rear wheels will not turn.
